Touring bikes have big saddles which are comfortable to sit on in a neutral position. Even forward controls are OK if you have a cushy suspension.

Get the Super Duke GT. It has a quick shifter
I second that. How is the KTM 1290 Super Duke R low on tech? By the way Sean, do all my comments have to be curated or can they be posted right away? I promise I won’t post any nudie pics on your blog.
I did 2420 miles from Daytona Bike Week to Fort Worth TX in 23 hours on my 1986 Softail Custom without any problem (except being sleepy). Have a 2007 Softail Custom now with 144,000 miles. Daily commute. Very comfortable bike for long distance riding.
They will add to it. It is going to be a favorite of the MCs.
All Harleys fit the above two criteria.
Because they sell more than a quarter million bikes a year?
This is not a sport bike. It is a cruiser.
HD doesn’t use CAN bus either.
Your comments seem more sarcastic than curious.
For one: 1800 cc vs 1100 cc. 115 ft lbs of torque at 3500 rpm vs whatever. Standard ABS, cruise control and security system. Dual discs up front. Serious bad boy looks. 11 years newer. If money is no object.
The simple answer is whether you want a bare bones bike (Street 500 or 750, Sportster 883 or 1200, Softail 103, Dyna 103 or 110), one with saddlebags (Street Glide, Road Glide) or full luggage (Ultra Classic). Within each of the above are many different styles based on looks, seat height, suspension, fairing,…
You are being sarcastic. You are not curious. Your mind is made up.
It is not just the badge, it is the whole package. People will notice if you are on a Harley or some other bike.
The engine is mostly about torque - getting off the dime like a drag racer. If that is not your thing, the standard Low Rider is plenty powerful. A bike can only go so fast without getting a speeding ticket unless you are on the track. Dual front disc brakes are better than a single one, but are not Brembos. Standard…
Troll, please go away.
This = drag strip bike. XDiavel = sport bike. KTM 1290 Super Duke = kills them both.
Superbikes are dead. Don’t you know?
The Honda AT is not on any mountain. It has had weak to mediocre reviews and was a disappointment to many after all the hype and the borrowing of the name of the legendary Africa Twin. The KTM 1190 Adventure R is on the off-road peak by all reviews. The BMW R1200GS Adventure is a close second being less off-road…
I have a 2015 1190 Adventure R and it is no pussycat, with 150 hp and 150 mph. A Tiger, Panther, Leopard or Lion maybe, but not a pussycat by any means. It will throw you off the bike if you are not careful with the throttle.
