@AlKusanagi: I really wonder what the people here where expecting... This SF animations are rather good for what they are. Just like you mentioned the work for Lunar. Lunar had fewer scenes and a simpler game, SF has 2 animations per 25 characters... I think it's perfectly fine that they're not OVA quality animation.

@ebola9717: Yes, we need iconic SF-inspired garb. PS#'s HOME got a SFIV shirt related to Dan, why do we have some kinda Gi's, or various elements of multiple SF's yet? I wonder...

Last week: "400 point games don't exist anymore! Microsoft keeps increasing the price of arcade games, I want 400 points games back!"

On DR Saving: I like the bathroom saving. However, I think one minor change could make it better, and stop all this silly whining: Stopping by Payphones to quicksave a temp file. Y'know, basically a checkpoint. This would make it so that the whiners over having to die and lose progress would have a "band-aid" to their

Nice Review, but one thing: "Hated" towards extra buttons?

You already got Gamerpics, a premium theme, and a game with elements that obviously have the quality of much more expensive releases, and yet everyone STILL complains "This stuff should be free!!"?

In the 80s and 90s, arcades where the high standard, and consoles had to catch up.

@blatantripoff: Yeah, I don't prefer it for fighters, but I think what Capcom and Madcatz want here is for the stick to be your end-all solution for every game genre; Like all the 2d ship shooters and such.

@Scott Palma: I always figured Propeller Arena would be almost JUST like the dogfighting in Crimson Skies. Except, you know, with SEGA style Rock music and fantastic engrish.

@stupid_mcgee: I wish they'd at LEAST use the SEGA AGES remake that you can see as the first item on this page, here:

I also got Braid. I always thought it was quality game, and this is a perfect way to get it for me ^_^ Thanks, Mountain Dew, Spike, and Kotaku, for bringing the contest to my attention!

For some reason, even though this is kinda "flamebait" on the authors part... It doesn't annoy me at all. Maybe it's because he DOES state that it's not that these games are bad, just... they received TOO much praise. Really, a lot of the weaknesses in the listed games would have gotten non A-rank-hype releases really

OMEGA FIVE needs a Sequel. That is all.

Kof XII is answering "What would a 2d game look like, with the budget of today's 3D epics?", but I think we need to see everyones takes on this! I'd love to see Arc System Works make a Guilty Gear that animated as fluidly as a Miyazaki movie, or for Enix to make a Valkyrie Profile that had sprites that stayed

@Alphavillain: Whenever I look at the character Select screen art for Samurai Shodown II, I have to wonder if I have seen anything so awesome looking in 3D yet! SFIV is definitely getting there (It has great looking secondary animation), but, yeah... 2D really seems like it was more accustomed to bringing the true

@Allfather Black: So, you'd rather than have the background characters animate smoother while the old charas animated the same way, thereby drawing your eye more to the smooth BG rather than the "framey" foreground?

@Rauzaruke: I know how you feel! I think they could give away gold bars with pre-orders, and people would still find something to complain about!

@ShadowOdin: Silly world we live in. Sonic 2006 was glitchy, and yet easily outshined and outsold games like Zack and Wiki, Psychonauts, Beyond Good and Evil, etc. The public does like "retreads", and buys off name recognition. As much as we think messy sonic is messing up the series, it still carries a LOT of weight,

@Rauzaruke: Yeah, such strong opinions on this thread, eh? ^_^
