totally agree here man

Hardly. Christina Nielsen has back to back IMSA GTD championships. I would say that’s a lot more than “pretty good.”

A German would pronounce it “Paw-che” anyway but you can’t do that in the US without sounding completely stupid....

Even if you know this the article wasn’t particularly transparent about it. The STI Subaru ran on the Ring was not really a stock street car anyway you could possibly cut it. It was a modified version of the Subaru Isle of Man record car.

Shouldn’t it be “Der Weg is Das Ziel”?

Honestly I’m not even mad, I’m impressed.

Oh my god....

Uh yeah please share that story that’s nuts!

Ah shit didn’t see that. Considering that, totally agreed. Funnily enough, I just asked a member of our Baja SAE team to do these calcs for some 7075 axles we’re building :D

I think you are ignoring the part about where the wheels spin. Everything depends on how much grip a tire has. I’m sure he would shred an axle if you welded the wheel in place.

“Dirty hooker travel!”

Tell me about all my delusions. How am I going to tow a loaded 10k lb trailer with my Baja Bug? Or my 5000 lb trailer with my Miata, tools, and track tires? Where am I gonna put a dirt bike? Not in a bed, surely. Oh I know, I bet a Camry will do great.

Yeah I do see where you’re coming from. And WOW, I’m from Arizona and I never stopped to consider how atrociously we butcher so many Spanish names. It’s unreal. Las VAYgas. Jesus.

Being born in southern Germany and having my entire family be from there, I can confidently say someone from Weissach or Stuttgart would actually say “Paw-che” but that just sounds dumb when you’re speaking English.

Now playing

Unsure about that Mercedes video because that’s definitely not how it’s pronounced in German.

Because I’d rather people (myself included) say Porsh in English. I have never heard an American actually nail the German pronunciation so I would prefer they don’t even try.

Eigentlich, als Deutscher ist es mir viel lieber das Amerikaner “Porsch” sagen weil “Porsh-uhhhh” hoert sich volkommen idiotisch an. Amerikaner werden es nie richtig aussprechen.

I don’t think 7500 miles could possibly be a good idea on a turbo motor, it just can’t be.

just get a turbo one....no abnormal head gasket failure rates....
