I think that was the first time I’ve ever said “oh my god” out loud at an internet video. Jesus Christ that was ridiculous. “We all need to lighten up a little bit...” Jesus Christ.

Perhaps the most important factor is focal length.

But what if he has had other meals? What if he ate some Cheetos earlier OR later in the day?

And will decelerate it. (And will look bad.) But definitely seems like it couldn’t possibly not be safer.

Looks pretty good.

Oh shoot, I forgot to add a crucial bit to this. Formula One cars produced significantly more drag than airplanes. A 747 has a drag coefficient around 0.022 while an F1 car’s is estimated around 1.3 from what I’ve read. F1 cars have a lot more aerodynamic devices and twirls than airplanes and so they benefit less from

Christian Horner said that they had done rigorous testing on this and found no significant improvements. On /r/formula1, someone shared a link about airplane drag. Boeing reports that the finish accounts for less than 1% of drag.

Newey wasn’t involved with the RB12.

Not sure if someone else mentioned this, but this was the under-23 women’s cyclocross championships. High-level (and increasingly, amateurs, god help us) riders will have two or more bikes at a race weekend. For the elite riders, this isn’t a huge problem because sponsors will provide bikes, but for the younger riders

What a fucking title!

I can’t imagine how terrifying it must be to look outside and see this.

Looks a bit like Barcelona, but it’s not.

There are some CMs that are completely law-abiding. Those are the majority of them, actually. The majority of CMs represented on YouTube are not those because they’re filmed by outraged motorists. CMs probably have the highest concentration of asshole cyclists though.

Originally, the intent was to do a ride en masse and follow all traffic rules in order to advocate for better awareness of biking in cities. It quickly degraded into twats doing twatty things. I bike a lot and would consider myself a serious rider, and like most responsible cyclists I don’t participate in this sort of

False.

And the road-rage assholes who keep baseball bats in their cars that still have cars. Or people not paying attention. Or articles like this that are extremely anti-bike and promote comments that endorse killing cyclists.

He started it!

Don’t mind me, I’m just here for the ignorant anti-cyclist comments.

Today I learned! I think if I had thought about the timeline I’d have been like, “Duh, of course not.” But I stand by the investment in entertainment. I know I’ve read about them providing sets and props (like tanks, guns, costumes, etc.) for scenes in Transformers.

Actually the U.S. Army has put hundreds of millions of dollars into combat video games. They also invested heavily in Michael Bay’s Transformers movies. This is their newest and one of their most-successful recruitment tactics.
