Oh, I know that. Bay Area with a 45 mile commute over the Bay Bridge into San Francisco. That lasted 2 months. If I’m going to kill myself, it’s on my own terms.

Let me know how you feel about driving that RZR on the 5 South. Average speed probably 85mph being driven by soccer moms in Escalades updating Facebook and yelling at kids. That’s a whole lot of ‘nope’.

Realistically it makes sense. They are both touring cars and somebody buying either is not likely to be a serious enthusiast. If you want a 2-door performance BMW you will be looking at an M2 or M4. A 4-door will have you looking at an M3. Even the ‘halo’ e39 M5 is the size of an M3 at this point, so you cannot

I live in Colorado. Do you want to know what drivers to avoid in the winter? California and Texas tags. Avoid them like the plague. The collection of Prius’ and raised trucks on low profiles 28's sitting in snowbanks after a good storm is always substantial.

Our C&C has three cops posted every event. One at the north entrance, one at the south entrance, and one on the other side of the island driving away from the lot. I’ve seen two idiots do burnouts and both times get pulled over. It takes a different kind of stupid to do that. We are also in a higher dollar, suburban

Yep. I was making a right turn on the upper end of fast (but still reasonable for street) and just jumped on it too fast, breaking the back end away. Basically had to hoon the corner to avoid a snap back..

And... there go my shorts. (You forgot the e63 wagon though)

COTD.

COTD /thread.

I’ve debated buying an e46 M3 and doing this, but then I remember that the boss refuses to learn howto drive a manual and will kill me if I impulse buy another car

$4k for a clutch? You can get the entire Luk clutch kit and freewheel for $1700. Bringing parts, I can’t see how a shop would charge you $2.3k for labor. The rod bearings are a $3k hit once every 100k. If you have any ability to maintain a car, even just from a bolt-on perspective, you only have a few large things to

And it is... Oh god it is. (Well was). On a side note, I think I need new tires again, again.

“Their.” Well played sir, well played.

There’s a ladder. There’s a FUCKING LADDER right there!

Mercedes E63 AMG v8 Bi-turbo wagon

That’s it! It’s a squirrel mincer!

Did you not have traction control on or is it just that bad? I have a comparably stupid car (e39 M5) with winter tires and don’t have nearly as many issues as you had. Even in deep CO snow, I don’t have those kind of problems.

I’ve been in Orange County (CA) and as long as you were in your garage, nobody cared. When in Berkeley and SF, nobody cared, but if you left your tools out to run in and grab a beer they’d probably be stolen.

Absolutely agree. Switching from all-seasons to winters in my Forester is noticeable instantly. Sliding stops, even on the same road, with a 10 minute difference from changing wheels. You can practically launch with snows in an AWD car, in snow.

I’m going to challenge this vs. the e39.
