Of course, were this a German car, it would be “hey, that’s the burden of superior engineering!”

Highly underrated comment. It’s my 4th trip to Grandpa’s house this week because something else “broke” on his Macbook. I’m starting to regret encouraging him to get a Macbook even though I know I’d be over there 5-8 times a week if I let him buy a Dell and wouldn’t be able to figure out how to “fix” it [typed on a…
Other way around - they send between 12 and 16 volts down those lines and the circuit board cuts it into pieces small enough (PWM) that it won’t set the LEDs on fire. There is plenty of power which the board regulates down. Which is why these tail lights strobe (illegally as far as I’m concerned, but GM doesn’t care)…
So what kind of sandwich are we talking about here.. pastrami? I’m listening...
This. Even as a software engineer myself, it’s clear that this widely-disseminated mantra out “everyone needs at least basic coding” skills is ridiculous. General technology skills, sure, but no need for programming.
The LEDs aren’t the problem, it’s the logic circuit that picks up the signals from some controller elsewhere that’s the issue.
Something did. They bought a GM product.
OK Boomer
But when replacing a burnt out taillight involves “learning to code”, something has gone terribly, terribly wrong.
Damn. My condolences, boomer.
I’m afraid that joke might fly over many people’s heads.
I see what you did there.
Zero interest in an aircraft from Mitsubishi.
But are the places they race actually properly prepared for the safety risks they introduce?
I was once told “Australia is racism.” by an Aussie visiting the US.
This story is a good example of some of the misconceptions a lot of Americans have about Straya, where they think it’s a continent-sized Florida with a constitution that comprises of the words “hold my beer” and “V8 ute.” Reality is it’s a nation with British levels of nanny government and 1950s deep South levels of en…
Look, Stadium Super Truck racing is badass and I love it. But are the places they race actually properly prepared for the safety risks they introduce? Seems like a truck flying through the air introduces a whole different set of risks than one with enormous downforce going 150+ mph.
Fuck these fucking banksters. Criminal thieves, the lot of them.
They literally stole his ar and why they aren’t in jail in unbelievable.
Good. I hope he wins and gets paid well.
