All that is much more complicated then the Lockheed idea. One common but modified turbine and a scramjet on a single plane is much simpler than multiple planes, one with a scramjet and a rocket.

I’d love to see just about any new X plane.

I think bombs or ALCMs that ignite a little while after separating from the plane could work fine.
