Read a story elsewhere that Valve is moving CS:GO into a Dota 2 like state. Items will be sold like the D2 Compendium for Valve sponsored major CS:GO tournaments. Pretty sure items will be just like Dota 2, no bonuses, just aesthetic, but that's still awesome.
