Also, minor nitpick: 9/13/2014 is the release date for Smash 3DS. Smash Wii U released in November. I usually refer to both as Smash 4, though. They are technically the same game, after all.

I think you chose the wrong title for that video. It really should be “Which Smash character was oldest when they joined the battle?”
What you explained is exactly how the video ranks the characters, which in my opinion is completely different from what the video’s title suggests. The video ranks them by “the oldest fighter to join Smash”. In that sense, Pacman is indeed the oldest with 34 years, and Roy is youngest with 121 days.
This is somewhat off-topic, but I just saw that video about “Which Smash Character Waited The Longest To Join The Battle?” on Kotaku and I don’t know how to comment on it, so here I am (since this is a Smash-related post).
Well, someone’s optimistic...
He probably got redesigned for Smash. If you’re up against Squirtle or Greninja, or some water-shooting Assist Trophy, you definitely want waterproofing.
Not all of them can.
Wait until you meet the Ice Climbers.
Poor Samus. She’s been changing out of her Power Suit into a skimpy bikini since 1986, and people still don’t recognize her as a woman.
You do realize you can design machines to be water resistant, like waterproof phones, underwater datacenters, and ships/submarines?
Similarly, the Inklings can’t swim in water in Splatoon, although that is a bit odd given that squids are their evolutionary ancestor.
That’s sad, especially coming from a country where declining birthrates is a huge problem...
Wait, you mean DK isn’t some lost theme park employee in a gorilla suit?
Translation:
I’d totally watch figure skating if there was a performance of “Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There” (Persona 5). I can only imagine the awesome choreography they’d need to come up with to match that song. Oh, and the awesome cosplay as well.
Yes, the Swastika is gone. If I’m not mistaken, Hitler’s mustache is gone too, but I haven’t gotten far enough to verify this myself.
Not in the German version, no. That’s the most depressing about it...
When a company releases a full price game and makes it Pay 2 Win until even the government starts to interfere, I think “withholding content” is a fair assumption to make.
Poor Blue Mario.
Smash has always been about pitting different characters from different franchises against each other.
