    I’ll be frank as well. Backwards compatibility mostly interests me during the early years of a console. It allows me to fully migrate to the new console without having to give up on some of the end-of-life games.

    I agree. Nowadays I only use my PS4 and Switch (and PC) for new games. I only use my XBO to play Mass Effect (1) and Banjo Kazooie.
