That’s the thing... making the camera more rugged alone does come with costs. strong light weight metals, special seals, etal. Sure the Sony can take great images, but can it survive bumps, bangs, and harsh environments better? Not likely.

Of course it’s a concern for people, but the sandy hook shooting is a clear example of what i mean. it’s much cheaper and easier to steal a gun or buy it off the black market.
