I'm still mixed about this camera. it pretty much has all the features i wanted in a compact camera... BUT... the reduction of physical controls make me concerned. Till i can look at soem videos and see how well people are coping, this is still a might buy.

I think most serious shooters will shoot raw and do their own post processing, which i think is about the same and shooting film and doing your own developing. overall, i think Digital has beaten film. There are certain films that have certain qualities that digital has a hard time reproducing, but for most

I think that takes away from the openness that Android offers. Also, i think not all of it is because of custom skins, it's also because Android is allowed to be put on many different kinds of hardware. I would imagine it needs to be tested and perhaps drivers need to be created. I think in the end, it really is a

What would be the other option? Google could ready the source code and then make it known and available only to their close hardware partners? Then have the OEMs sign NDAs that they are not allowed to show or release anything until Google decides it's time? Will that get the code ready for consumers any faster?

So far it sounds like the camera i've been waiting for... but i would need more information and reviews

1) why are you talking about early adopters.. this is something that has been out for a decade.

Same here, I've been shooting with DLSRs for years and never heard this before.... not even as an urban legend.

I don't notice the screen protruding. i hear a noise, but it sound more like the soft backing. Not totally sure. Side note... i had zero issue with the packing. Just cut the seals with a tape and opened it up.

Glad i'm not the only person who thought of that...

Steve: "Hey Bill, we posted the first loss ever..."

From what i heard, (a radio news report) he used tear gas. That and being a crowded theatre, would only add to the danger of the other people accidentally shooting an innocent while trying to take the gunman down.

Not everyone wants to hack their devices though.

Beyond just the lens mount, i think it's a safe assumption that the hot shoe will work with existing Canon flashes when you need extra light.

1) Awesome, those are my friends... and sad to say.. when i dipped her, i almost dropped her.. i need to work out...

Then i misunderstood what the other commenter said or he misinformed me. Either way, this was still a business decision, not a temper tantrum.

It still sounded like a business decision. They didn't like the standards because it would make their production more costly. Once the standards worked within their costs, they came back.

FTA: "their design direction was no longer consistent with the EPEAT requirements." sounds like they did it because it made financial sense at the time. How does that construe a temper tantrum on Cook's part?

Maybe if Jobs was still running things, but i think Tim Cook is less prone to temper tantrums...

For Time yes, but if you look at things like physical measurement, the metric system and how it's set up work very well. A KG of Water is One Liter in volume etal.

Oh come on... the memory stick is worse than this .p
