I'm not saying that a few bad choices negate all those years of service, but you should only get bonuses for the years that you did well. to me a golden parachute just sounds like you get to make an arrangement to get paid even if if you do poorly. I think CEO compensation should be based on how well the company is

I hate to defend MS, but they were also late to the video game console market and they did really well. The product looks like it has promise. Just a question of how well it works int he real world, when it's available, and how much exactly.

1- I think it's a pretty logical conclusion that the CEO of a huge company gets paid very well. Chances are good that they got paid more in one year than many of their employees made during the course of their whole career.

Really? they made an app, just o measure the angle? wouldn't a simple cardboard stencil be easier?

Easier explanation.. no one cared .p

Only if both also have HD web cams....

To everyone who's saying they deserve the money because they helped found the company, i'm pretty sure they got paid VERY well during the time when they were doing the company good, why should they get an extra bonus when for the last five years, they did so badly? I have trouble believing that the access fee for Google Maps will be more expensive than developing a whole new product.

I'm not concerned with repairing a laptop, but if i can't even upgrade the hard drive, that's a no sale.

did you remember to turn off "Dukes of Hazard" mode? YEEEEEEHAW!

Forget the which one is better argument for now and ask WHY? The Google product is already an excellent product. I don't see the business sense in even making a competitive product, when a very good one is available for free. Seems like a waste of resources that could be spent on other things...

Technically, this is a developer release correct? the closest analogy in the auto industry would be they built the car badly and gave a few samples out to the press for testing...

Even if it's for their own personal greed, this is still beneficial to their customers.

I'm not aware of any apps that won't run on 2.3 (unless they are tablet specific).

Name one compute company that has never had issues with bad customer service issues.
