Bah-guh?? No, man, don't do this now, not with Mega Man Legends 3 finally on the way..... Damnit.

@Hatebunny: Not really, unless I'm playing drums or something. If it's a song I don't know, then the timing on solos and whatnot can be really tricky when you have to time your strums to be a quarter inch above the "target bar". Almost no songs have straight rhythms for guitar parts without some embellishment.

Change that first option to "Mobile browser, especially if the site's not specifically made for it". My phone can handle the web just fine - it's tremendously annoying when a mobile site's navigation and layout is bizarrely divorced from the "full" site. Really, the only thing that my phone can't handle are Flash

@Guitarzan2k5: Yeah, I'm just looking for another excuse to pick one up.....shoot.

@NaokiB4U: Yes, I know about manual calibration. That's for scrubs, dude - if you have any natural sense of rhythm it's really easy to anticipate the clicks/metronome and screw up the calibration really bad. The Rock Band guitars (since Rock Band 2) have included a small microphone and a light sensor to

Hey Kotakuites, help me out....I just picked up RB3 and wanted to give it a try, but apparently the light-sensor on my Rock Band Strat is busted and I can't autocalibrate the game with my TV. Does anyone know if there's auto-calibration built into the new Rock Band keyboard? I know it's a longshot, but if there was

"While I agree that a lot of the checks seem unnecessary, I still think they're worth doing. It doesn't add too much extra time to a journey, and quite frankly I'd rather be safe than sorry."

Have they gotten rid of the ridiculous Gauntlet-esque enemy spawners? It's not a coin-op game, I shouldn't need to rely on luck to clear a level just because there's 4-5 portals open in one room and only one real entrance.

So...I bought Rock Band 3 last night. I *had* to. I mean, Bohemian Rhapsody, right?

@Atsumi: Are the keyboards selling out? I considered grabbing one when I picked it up, but I'm also getting a MacBook this month so I didn't feel like shelling out the cash. I might change my mind if they're scarce, though.

@djricekcn: You're thinking of Innocent Sin, Eternal Punishment came out in the US.

@urfe: Persona 1 and 2 are interesting for the story and to see the series' roots, but they're a bit lacking in the playability sectors. Start with Persona 3 (unless you have a PS2, then start with Persona 4).

@Diamond Sea: Don't play Eternal Punishment first, it spoils the ending of Innocent Sin right on the first page of the manual. Innocent Sin comes first (which is why it is so lame that it never got a US release).

Oh my god, I hope this comes out in the West. I've had copies of Revelations: Persona and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment sitting on my shelf (rounding out the collection with Persona 3: FES and Persona 4, of course). I've been wishing I could play Innocent Sin in English without resorting to running the

I own a PS3 and I absolutely love it, but come on now - Microsoft probably doesn't give two shits about HD remakes of XBox games because the 360 is backwards compatible. Sony already pretty much screwed the pooch when it comes to PS2 compatibility, the HD re-releases are almost like a peace offering to gamers.

@meowmix: I'm surprised nobody else's said this yet, but all I look for in most new games is a good sense of discovery. If the developer puts together a world that feels coherent and then gives me the ability to go exploring, looking around and finding new, cool things, I'm willing to forgive a lot of gameplay flaws

@TRT-X: Rock Band 3 comes out next Tuesday. Hopefully you've got something to tide you over for the weekend.

@Damob: I'm sure I'm losing sci-fi cred here by admitting this, but I'm actually not familiar with either of those authors. I'm gonna have to look them up if they're filled with delicious complexity, though.

@NaeemTHM: I like to think that Primer is the sort of thing that happens when someone with a degree in science thinks seriously about time travel for any length of time and subsequently goes completely mad.

I am a huge sucker for gorgeous 2D art in games. These screens are incredible, I can't wait to see the game in motion.
