Hahaha did you seriously dig through my post history here just to comment on it? Way to Care Entirely Too Much, dude.

The touchscreen is hella tough (they've had what, 4 iterations of the DS to get that one sorted out?), but the 3D screen is pretty fragile.

I had completely forgotten about the UMD launching properties of the PSP....although honestly I usually expect more solid hardware from Nintendo than Sony. As far as other rubber feet, I know you can buy adhesive rubber pads and trim them down with an exacto-knife to fit in the recesses that the original small pads

Where did I say people who are happy with their 3DS are liars? I was only referring to this one issue, and frankly there are people out there who haven't seen it at all (hence that whole "extremely lucky" thing). Again I have to ask - do you even own one or are you just pissing all over this thread for the hell of

Come on now, man, it's not like the hinges create some sort of magical airtight seal between the two halves of the system when it's closed and you know it. Shit happens. You don't need to be scraping the thing through the mud for something to get between the screens to make it scratch. Just because it doesn't

Okay, you weren't an out-and-out asshole, but your sarcasm came off a bit strong. Fair enough - who am I to judge, I did the exact same thing a few posts up. But don't act like this isn't actually happening just because it's not as pervasive as the RRoD or what-have-you - the fact that the bezel makes contact with

You just called me a douche, a troll and an idiot with zero provocation (and you might want to read up on homonyms before goin' around calling folks idiots). I ask you the same question - do you even own a 3DS?

...except those marks can easily become scratches, as evidenced by all of the people with scratched screens and Nintendo acknowledging the issue. Do you just like making trollish comments after everything I post? Do you even own a 3DS or do you just like being an asshole on the internet?

D) Because I bought one at midnight on release and it's pretty infuriating to have such a glaring design flaw in a brand new handheld.

Do you have the aqua or cosmo black model? I don't think it really matters but I think the black ones have weaker hinges, which could possibly contribute to the issue somehow.

It is caused by the exact same issue - if you get lines you will eventually get a scratch unless you are extremely lucky and live in some miraculous dust-free paradise.

Those marks become scratches if you get a piece of dust stuck in there the wrong way though - the marks are made by direct contact between the touchscreen bezel and the top screen, and as basically anyone knows Direct Contact On Screens Is Bad. And since there are myriad problems with the hinges on these things it's

The top screen is huge, the bottom screen is DS-sized and has a bezel that portrudes like a millimeter above where it should. It doesn't happen on any model of DS because the screens are the same size and (unless I'm mistaken here, I'm like 800 miles away from my DS Lites at the moment) don't have a giantass bezel.

How about "in addition to"? I've had mine since the midnight launch and I'm sort of excited for the games... :(

That is exactly the problem referenced, so yes, you have had it. The touchscreen bezel makes contact with the 3D top screen and leaves marks, or scratches if you're unlucky enough to get a mote of dust stuck between the two - which is extremely likely since the piss-poor design of the hinges and bezel means that

Congratulations! Actually wait....that is exactly what this entire article is about so what are you commenting on it for?

Considering it happens without actually placing it in a pocket I'd say either A) you got extremely lucky (not likely as it's clearly a design flaw with the system) B) you don't actually use your 3DS (and who could blame you, I mean the best game was released in 1997 and two or three times since then) or C) you don't

For what it's worth, I dig BlazBlu - although I can see how the the hyper-ridiculous-animu style would be a turnoff for some people, the spritework is gorgeous and the fighting is solid (from what I can tell - I'm not a super hardcore fighting game fan though so what do I know).

If they're not going to finish the game, at least sell the franchise off to Cyber2Connect who said they'd finish MML3 for them....

This is why I'm only buying Capcom games used from now on - clearly, they don't want my money, so I don't feel any need to give it to 'em. Just grabbed a used copy of MvC3 for pretty dirt cheap (another side effect of them releasing minor upgrades to all of their cheap fighting games under a year after release -
