Apple sucks at actual music-control software, iTunes was a fluke. Look at their voice-recognition software on the iPhone - you can turn on shuffle with your voice, but there's no way to turn it off without unlocking the phone, opening the iPod app, and hitting the shuffle button. That's tremendously, stupidly bad UI…
