excuse my ignorance, however who is the voice actor that is being bad-mouthed by these reviews? Does she have any input? Was she asked to speak in this dialect or was this her interpretation of this character? That could paint an entirely different picture of this story.

Even the non-gamer knows who Mario is. In terms of pure staying power and relatively unchanged appearance through the past 2.5 decades, I would say he is number 1. Pikachu would most likely get confused with anime characters for the non-gamer, but still is pretty recognizeable.

Nintendo doesnt manufacture anything. They pay people to do that for them. Most everything runs the same chipsets from the same people, just in different orientations. Parallax barrier views go back to 3D books... Nothing new.
