I just ordered a brand new Nikon D3100 and it should be arriving shortly. I would like to take long exposure photos like this and i hope to be able to duplicate these methods. As this will be my first DSLR camera, i am sure there is a steep learning curve to taking quality photos and using the camera to its fullest.

We will see. It will be tough for the corporate culture to adjust from from a profit out of the gate structure to a lead loss for long term yields structure (ala Sony).
