Thank you for this. This may never get out of the greys, but your reply made me cry - it's nice to know someone understands. I always tip heavily (50-100%) when I get my nails done. Disability doesn't mean we don't feel societal pressure and like looking pretty, too.
I tip my wheelchair pushers well, both because they have helped me and because I have spent too many years a long time ago as a tipped worker.
I wonder if they did any studies on the productivity of childless women dealing with a major, chronic illness. It's like adding another full-time job (or two, depending on flares and illness cycles) and dealing with their career and marriage. Not every woman is childless by choice.
