But being open with personal information online is precisely what leads to swatting in the first place — not to mention the unbelievable levels of ‘doxxing’ (i.e. harassment and sharing of someone’s details) that countless people endure every day.

Sooo are there any pictures/videos of the other rare/unattainable Pokemon running in the game? 😄

It’s probably my own fault for setting such expectations but I was hoping for something that looked remotely as good as the reveal trailer we saw like two years ago. This does seem very sparse and honestly I think Wind Waker had a more appealing aesthetic (especially in HD obviously). The compromises of going open

Looks like some kind of sex toy!

Hmmmmm I’m not sure. I love Rare and I love pirates, but this doesn’t seem like something that’s going to hold my attention for long. Without the super-enthusiastic team chat that video would be downright boring — hopefully there’s a lot more to this than sparse islands and controlling ships — and the visuals don’t

I like the ‘What if it was X?’ approach to character creation. Great way of achieving at the very least equal representation.

Is the review even serious? Because there’s another review on the same site that’s much more positive and ends awarding it 4/4:

I might actually do that when I next get a gaming PC set up. Does it require quite beefy hardware as 3D console emulation often had when I've looked before?

GOD why hasn’t Nintendo released Mario Galaxy in HD?!

Why delete courses that don’t get many plays/stars? Couldn’t they just let them stay there but show up low in any searches, etc like basically any other game or service with user-generated content? Levels should use up hardly any disk resources so unless Nintendo is running the game’s online community on a single

I’ve only fleetingly seen the odd bit of Babymetal over the years but I’m pretty sure their shtick is more about being a somewhat bizarre fusion of culture and/or genres rather than their age. I don’t think them being several years older is going to make any real difference to how they’re received... however that

Yeah this is a classic problem with online photography. Many photographers just want to share their work, often earning nothing from it but some nice comments (or constructive criticism), being spotlighted on sites, and some shares — which pictures covered in overly prominent watermarks rarely get.

It’s very cool but I guess it suffers from a similar issue to games like Rage with its ‘megatexture’ environment, in the you can produce something that looks amazing but it’s essentially a 3D photograph.

A lot of MGS2's music was relatively forgettable but 3–5 really do have excellent soundtracks. I think #3 is probably the series’ high point musically.

I was looking at Black & White 2 recently and was surprised by how well it’s aged graphically, almost astonishingly so compared to the original. I thought it was a very good game aside from the lack of god-vs-god action, but the expansion supposedly rectified that. Alas I never played it.

Getting rid of levels merely because they’re unpopular absolutely sucks and prevents friends — often young kids who might make kind of crappy levels — from excitedly sharing their levels with each other. Make them less prominent sure, but DELETE them?

Unrelated but is there any chance that the instant articles that’re now opened by default on Facebook could include the comments in some way, even if it’s just a link to them?

Hopefully most of GameTrailers’ videos are or will be on YouTube for indefinite archival. That’s the nice thing about having a huge video repository site that’s unlikely to ever go anywhere, even if it has basically killed independent video sites from a technological point of view.

I know it caused an absolute hellstorm at the time, but the Half-Life 2 pre-alpha that leaked long before the game’s completion is a similarly wonderful piece of gaming history — full of abandoned concepts, locations, enemies, and backstory. The Half-Life Wikia has incorporated most of it and it’s absolutely brilliant

Is never using apostrophes or correct capitalisation your way of getting back at them?
