Seems unlikely this would actually prompt a lot of cats to move? Maybe it's better to spray/leave something cats dislike around your engine. Or use catnip if you're going for the maximum 'Evil' alignment.

This is a pretty old comment thread now, buddy — try to keep up.

The popularity is impressive. I guess it shows that e-sports has always been a potentially huge thing, but for many years those trying to capitalise on it missed one very important aspect: the personality of the person narrating and/or playing.

I agree with this in principle, but as a developer currently dealing with rolling out humongous amounts of data to concurrent users I can definitely say that until it's actually out there and being hammered it can be quite difficult to spot certain limitations and bottlenecks.

Why do people play chess? Why do people play football? WHAT IS 'HAVING FUN'?

Two asterixes you say?!

Sure, but permission to write to your hard drive is permission to write to your hard drive. If an application can edit its own folder, it can almost certainly inadvertently edit another folder — as clearly happened here.

It's great to hear that Blizzard are supportive of things like this. It should be noted that a project being non-commercial or using fan-made material is not a get-out clause, though. I've encountered a number of free fan projects that were shut down by the IP owners — indeed, LucasArts were once famed for

Well, every game has to be capable of modifying the contents of your hard drive so it can add, update, and remove its own data during installation, patching, and uninstallation — this of, of course, nothing new.

Isn't there a pretty big risk of Blizzard shutting this down considering how much stuff is lifted directly from WoW?

It's going to start having a real effect on the place if it carries on, now that the worldwide press is repeatedly highlighting the borderline toxic levels of shit in the air. I was previously really looking forward to going to Hong Kong at some point, but now I actually don't want to because I don't want to be

Looks like this feature got quietly shelved pretty quickly. No surprise, I never used it once. I did like the huge heading images for articles though, which are now gone (including in user-created blog posts).

OK, great to know. I think the original article could have been a lot more clear on this point. Let's just hope Sony is doing something equally sane with its HDPC implementation.

Wow. That is... pretty messed up. I can almost get behind spitting in someone's food or something if they've treated you like shit, but to wank into a load of batter presumably being eaten by innocent patrons, kids, etc? Plus the health implications if he has AIDs or something? Jeez. I hope he was beaten senseless by

Unless I'm missing something, an important aspect of this that nobody seems to be mentioning is that HDPC is required for many Blu-ray films and TV shows to play. Without a HDPC player, many discs will outright refuse to play.

This obviously isn't a problem if you don't want to watch films or TV shows on your console,

When it comes to pointless arguments you're all certainly better than I.

What an absolute load of garbage. Some 4chan kiddie unimaginatively bothering some customer service rep is not what I'd describe as entertaining, fun, or worth posting on even a forum — never mind one of the most widely-read gaming sites around.

I'm guessing this is the norm for just about all music videos. Can't say I care enough to follow up on that, though.

While I'm not a massive fan of the style, it does seem that there's very little innovation in terms of how Japanese art is drawn. It's almost like the style is inseparably bound to the origin of the art.

I think you missed the point of this post.
