My wife’s (now sold) Countryman S had this, am I missing something? The fan would stay running after turning off the ignition to cool down. In the case of the Demon it would be a supercharger timer and not a turbo timer.

Not knocking your personal experience, but can this be avoided by setting up a standing desk/treadmill? Standing is better than sitting, and walking is better than standing still.
