Funny thing is the demise of this car will not be by consumers but by Toyota dealerships. With shortages this thing will be a six figure car at some dealerships pushing the envelope and normal dealers asking $10k over sticker. Every cool car made in the last 6-7 years has had some sort of dealer markup with it being

With a little extra room there...

Smiles per mile, no matter how impractical the car is.

I don’t think less of a car because it’s been around since 2001. The Elise and Exige were designed right from the beginning. These were true groundbreaking cars that were brilliant 20 years ago and still brilliant today.

I’ve owned an Elise, Evora, and now an Exige S. I look forward to eventually buying one used, like a good Lotus owner.

On top of that, Chevrolet copied the design elements from the front-engined Lotus prototype (the 1rt car in your image) and turned it

Sure, there’s that, but my issue is that I didn’t care for his choice of direction. The entire identity of Lotus is that it builds uncompromising cars embodying Colin Chapman’s “simplify and add lightness” philosophy. If that can’t support the business, then it is better to have no Lotus than to have it crank out

Danny’s problem has never been turning out beautiful renders. Its been turning them from renders to reality.

Where do I begin...
