Have it. Love it.

This is the right take, IMO. I buy cars to drive. I don’t want to pay a premium because it is too pristine. I’m planning on “unprestining” it. Give me reasonable miles, good service history, and a 10 foot paint job for a reasonable price. Then, let’s go for a ride.
What perfect vehicle would you get in a bidding war for? At least that’s how I took the articles question.
Sports cars aren’t just about speed and performance. The driving experience is far more important to me than number on paper. I want to feel connected with a car, and feel that a manual transmission is necessary to do so. My truck is automatic and I’m alright with that. The truck is an appliance, not a toy.
I felt that when he was at McLaren.
For me its not about hauling people in the back seat but dogs. All 2 seaters are out of the question as I wouldn’t have a spot to put my pooch. I wouldn’t put anyone in the back seat of a Mustang, Camaro, BRZ, ect for any extended period of time but having that option is nice in a pinch.
I can’t believe I’ve gone decades without realizing this. I just thought they were increasing the number each year because bigger number equals better car.
All I’m asking is that they got rid of dumb Mr. Bean door handles
No room in the garage for a vehicle.

Ford: Well you still have your mirrors when the doors are removed, so the Bronco is better than the Wrangler.
Still think this should be a manually removable Targa top, so that it could be lighter than the Cabriolet, but I’m not the targeted audience, so who gives a flyin’ fuch about what I gots to say.
16K Kit cars are 356 replica, Cobra replica. Nothing else is worth anything close.
Not sure why anyone would ruin a perfectly good MR2 to build....this.
When I’m house shopping, my priorities fall in the following order:
Fixing these cars is clearly the hobby versus actually owning/enjoying the cars and should be treated as such. This should be his process to avoid accumulating what are effectively beaters.
If you really want to have this kind of thing as a hobby, you need to organize your life properly - live somewhere without an HOA and have adequate resources to house your projects according to local ordinances - a pole barn, a regular barn, etc.
If you are going to be the worst neighbor in the universe and drive the whole neighborhood’s property values down by turning yours into a junkyard, live in a neighborhood with no HOA! Then nobody can say shit to you.
Oh my this is the content I crave. We moved out of our HOA 2 months ago and dammit I can't wait to paint my front door teal. Take that assholes!
