This is even worse. Everything should get a V8 badge now, just because it made as much hp as a malaise era V8.

I complain because the number on the car used to mean the engine size. But because of technology, they are making them smaller. But they cant make the number smaller, because they are afraid their dumb customers won’t trade in their old 335 for a 330, so they put a badge number that has nothing to do with anything.
But the 5.0 badge Ford put on mustangs didnt require an metric explaining.
Exactly, that’s why BMW keeps making the numbers go up despite the fact that the engines are getting smaller.
Nobody is asking what the numbers on the back mean.
We know what he meant, it’s just easier than typing out “tube frame chassis race car built for specification to race in the National Association of Stock Car Automobile Racing”
Real car, not real engine.
The engines are worth more than the chassis and require a lot of attention, they sell the rollers for track day cars, or those nascar experience drive/ride along cars are all former race cars but with a cheap carbureted 350 in place of the real race engine.
Sure give it an electric option, but keep the gas powered one. Let the market decided if it should survive.
It’s a wrap, likely on an unpainted car. Or maybe painted. Could be a blue car with a wrap.
Most Corvette owners wouldn’t notice the loss of power, they just wouldn’t be able to raise the hood at the local cruise night.
Good, people buying Teslas are getting a big income tax break and they’re not paying fuel tax to maintain the roads. I’m essentially paying tax and subsidizing a luxury car for someone that makes more money than me.
Just wait for the boomers to die off and the 60s cars will be cheap.
This is for a perfect condition stock car with no miles, this is a one out of 1000 car. There are still plenty that have been driven, questionably modified, or need some love for pretty cheap. It’s just like muscle cars. There are ‘69 Camaros well into the triple digits, and ones in the mid 4 digits.
The extra $30k is certainly not worth the extra cargo room. It is the cool and rare tax.
Not an exact comparison, but same car companies, I have a Lotus Elise and a Fiat Abarth, the Fiat has been on a tow truck 3 times, the Lotus 0. And have owned the Lotus twice as long.
Well, on a serious note, I bought a 5 year old Lotus in 2010, a comprehensive list of things that went wrong in almost 9 years:
They’re rare and lots of people want them, that’s how economics work.
The GTS is only rare because it’s a mid level trip. And nobody knows that. When you have to explain why it’s rare, it defeats the purpose.
You can. I have one, although it’s not typically my daily, it was my only car for 4 months at one point.
