Well, it's not like they haven't tried. It's just that all of them were just plain awful or didn't draw ratings. Or both. A bizarre blended genre show like LOST comes along maybe one or twice in a generation, and even back during the first season, the showrunners and network execs felt they had to ramp DOWN the

Yeah. I'm thinking there must be some politics stuff we've not been privy to yet. Like he's thinking of running for higher office or is up for a promotion he wants.

I imagine there are legality issues involved, but it just seems like Vasquez and Rachel are taking this a bit too personally. Like it's THIER money, or something. If they hadn't been on the show since forever, I'd almost suspect they were in it together to run off with the money themselves.

Or a woman. Loved Ava's line about the difference between running away then and running away now.

Me too. Though I've heard some really rough versions of that song where it sounds like he can't carry a tune.

Oh, yeah. He earned a place in my heart just with the Scrabble scene alone.

Didn't Coulson come out and say he spent so and so much time looking for Gonzales after SHIELD fell?

Yeah, he just opens his mouth and looks at it.

Oh, yeah. He definitely comes across as more the PR "people person" type. Which is kinda, sorta what he played in the Iron Man films before The Avengers.

Thanks. I'd forgotten that exchange. Still, considering the events of Winter Soldier, that might not have been the best way of establishing chain of command.

I just find it really ironic that just about every major project he does (kind of like his Pops - see Agent Carter) ends up being the very thing the bad guys try to use to wreck havoc.

And this is one of the less defensive comments sections that I hang on here.

hah, every time I hear that phrase I think of the L&O SVU episode where Det. Flynn (Ice T) explains to the rest of the squad the urban dictionary definition. Then they all pause awkwardly and stare at him for a few seconds.

Oh, yeah. Just seeing his name in the opening credits is enough to make me smile.

Yeah, reflecting a bit more on it…I dunno the SHIELD chain of command, but I think the combination of Fury arbitrarily assigning Coulson as the new director, together with the whole Kree blood thing (which DID have some strange effects on Coulson's ability to do the job), I think there's a bit of worthwhile worry

Yeah, Simmons seems to have been really taken aback by the carnage she saw while being in charge of cleaning out what remained of the underground city, then the attack by Reina which cost the lives of agents under her watch. It's just not something she was prepared for and I think it had a pretty deep impact on her.

Yeah, but he did end up Chief Engineer, though it wasn't on Enterprise. Considering that the big E was in danger of blowing up every day, it's not the greatest place to raise your kids.

As bad as LOST might have gotten for some viewers, those comparisons pretty much stopped early in Heroes' second season. I didn't follow the behind the scenes stuff in Heroes, but I understand that there was a split between the producers about how much of the cast and plotlines should "turn over" every season and

Yeah, I could have used two or so episodes set back in that time period too. I found those fascinating. Well, except that young Widmore was just as much a douche as old Widmore.

Yeah, I think at the time, Lindelof and Cuse and company were still at the "throw it against the wall and see how well it sticks" point of the show. They were more interested in playing around with the "universal course correction" idea than what part Hawkings played in it.
