Just a point of clarification / definition from the comments: a venture capital firm invests in early-stage, risky “startups”... moon shots that will probably fail, but could change humanity (at least, that’s the purest and most generous definition).

A lot of this is the extreme difference between a junior flight attendant and a senior one. The most senior flight attendants working international flights can make $100k. For better or worse, the airline industry is extremely seniority based with pay.

Yeah, I’ve never had a gate-checked bag get lost. The baggage checked at the gate is usually very important (strollers, wheelchairs, and other similar mobility items) and so I find it a pretty fool proof method.
