It feels patently ridiculous to suggest that a person drop something they supposedly weren’t holding in the first place and then to use their inattention to that command as a reason to open fire

I’m relieved that this was an improvised thing. If this had been the plan, I would have been upset that they didn’t use a wagon or something to get him down the aisle more comfortably.

See, she can wink when she wants to.

Right? I remember these same people saying that Trump was “telling it like it is” and being “politically incorrect” when he made even more horrific comments about a large share of the population. Were Hillary’s comments politically incorrect? Definitely. But if you’re the kind of person who is comfortable with

I don’t think it was shade only because she had already come out and called them deplorable and now she’s just walking it back a bit about exactly how many of them.

She had a great followup to one of the mouthbreathers:

Here is the original quote (From her fundraiser in NYC 9/9/16) :

Thank you for sharing that! She absolutely hit the nail on the head - if someone isn’t a racist assbag, why be mad at Hillary for calling out the racist assbags?

Ok, I am admittedly really really really bad at this, but I need a ruling. Her follow-up (the full one, not what’s written above) is shade, no?

They should be flattered. Deplorable is better than what they are.

“I regret saying ‘half’—that was wrong,” Clinton said.

PC culture is out of control. You call some people deplorable and they get all offended.

I regret saying ‘half’—that was wrong,” Clinton said.

I think part of this ‘controversy’ is fueled by Clinton using a ten-cent word like ‘deplorables’ as opposed to something Trump would have used (clowns, bozos, assholes, Mexicans etc.). It makes the phrase sound elitist.

Adorable story: I’m babysitting my cousin’s niece. (I think? She’s my cousin’s wife’s brother’s daughter? What is that???)

I would never denigrate axioms, proverbs, old saws, or any long-cherished notion by associating it with Donald Trump.

Up today: “A lot of people don’t realize that the military has a court system.”

To those who would defend Trump with “what he meant to say,” I would remind them that according to Trump, he always says what he means.

I’m imagining the alternate universe where Ann got that gig.
