It’s because Bernie is no longer the candidate. Now that Vermont Jesus isn’t an option, not voting is the only option for the writers here.

I live in one of those states - in the largest city in the state, not like some podunk rural town that has 3 fast food restaurants and a Walmart and nothing else. I’ve never even heard of MOD until this article.

It’s okay. As others have stated it’s basically Chipotle, but with pizzas. They also do pretty decent salads (same Chipotle concept). Their food is tasty but I also think it’s too expensive for the fast casual experience. For our family 4 pizzas and a couple sodas ends up costing about $45 (this is in Chicago).

Some of those states don’t even have a MOD pizza. And there’s no In-n-Out in Nebraska!

I was going to mention that too, Woody grooving ever-so-slightly in the background makes this funny scene even funnier.

I was going to mention this scene if no one else had.

“I nearly lost my dignity there”

“these guys have a jukebox, a pool table, a pinball machine”

One’s in Metric.

Now playing

First and foremost, Kelly, you look lovely.

This is weird to me, because why would so many production companies cover for a DP on a show that’s not really known for groundbreaking visuals? How hard could it be to replace a DP on a show that had its house style locked from the pilot?

I have switched from my “local” HEB (<5 min away) to a newer one that’s about 15 - 20 min away. It’s, well, newer, with a better layout and much better selection of the prepared foods as well as staples. And people seem much more chill there. And I don’t mind the drive since it’s about the only “exercise” my vehicle

I generally really enjoy grocery shopping when I’m not in a rush and can just look at all the products and compare price per ounce, etc. However, now grocery shopping causes anxiety and is much less pleasant as I’m concentrated on being efficient, making sure the purchase will last for at least a week, and trying not

HEB till I die.

I live near a small food distributor who previously served only restaurants. To survive during COVID, they shifted and began allowing retail orders. It has worked out very well for us. Their full product line is always available, and you can get a pickup time for the next day. You simply pull your car up, tell them

I switched because the Kroger I usually go to kept changing their opening hours without warning. First it was 6 am, so I’d go at 6, and they’d be closed with a sign that said they’d be open at 8. So next week I’d go at 8, and they’d be closed with a sign that said they’d be open at 10. At 8 other stores are open, so I

Monkey Ward’s.

Sally Field was (and is) cute AF.

The best part of the movie, despite garnering almost no mention here, is Gleason’s Sheriff Buford T. Justice. He apparently ad-libbed just about every one of his lines. A brilliant performance.

Smokey and the Bandit is an American classic and deserves a spot among the best films ever made. I’ll fight you on that. It never takes itself too seriously and is all the better for it. I’ve nothing against the F&F movies, but they just seem too wrapped up in appearing maximum badass and cool all the time, while
