@Haizum: Right, but these aren't nuclear weapons, and aren't going to be used against other superpowers that think in terms of self-preservation. This is just going to carry the torch that UAV's are holding currently, which what with killing some hopefully-terrorist ground targets here and there is not an "end all

@Die Fledermaus: Actually HDR is technically supposed to be about reducing contrast. You're compressing a higher dynamic range (or content that would normally be farther apart in values) closer together to fit into usually 24 bit color. Done well it's natural and not noticeable other than that you can have say bright

Those actually turned out pretty terrible in video form. Just reminded me of Sin City but that was obviously deliberately literal in comic book style. This just looked like bad student-noir filmmaking, which it is. It would, though, be pretty amazing if someone actually arranged their relatives and lighting this way

@kitenai: You seem to be mistaken. You don't ask a company who you traded $2000 in contract with for a phone nicely for a fix especially once they present a blatantly arrogant and shady response to you about it. This isn't group therapy where you're trying to encourage a friend to help you with your personal problems.

You know, I've thought about this, and I *hate* video ads that come up before your video. I will either refresh or just leave and google for another site to watch it even if it takes as long as watching the ad. 15 seconds of ad for a 30 second clip is just ridiculous, especially those sites that make you watch a new

@Benedinho: Planets themselves are far too small and dim to be directly photographed - at least until they found this one which is really close. Until now astronomers have had to use tricks with observing stars to infer the existence of a number of planets but have not actually photographed one until now.

@Chase Stricklan: Really? Because wireless data seems to be getting away with it. And living in the Bay Area, across the pond from Silicon Valley, I have no real options other than Comcast. They can do whatever they want with me, where am I going to go? Net Zero? My only hope is to wait for Google fiber.

No no no, you guys ^

@FightingChance: I edit video for a living, trust me, that's not sped up. I'm sensitive even to when de-interlacing algorithms make footage look sped up when its not. A lot of it has to do with shutter speed, or the amount of motion blur in a frame. I think that's why his arms look fast. Plus, I would buy that that

@UnlimitedRevs: No no, it's art if you know people in the scene who can call it art in their publications. Otherwise yes, it's just a cool idea from dudes with nothing better to do.

@Arfdog: Oh god. My favorite car video of all time. As well as favorite engine note. Please, please show me a better one.

I'm waiting for the special edition.

Friends, it's the future. One step closer to the future prophesied by our 80's sci-fi oracles.

@SlowMo: That is so sick you can see the individual exhaust pulses grazing the smoke.

@CJinSD: Hate to tell you, but as far as them Law's is concerned the California stop only applies to the Law, and maybe bicyclists. Everyone may do it, but you'll get hit for it bad if you get caught.

@kake81: The British are constantly confused about measurements. They like to pretend they've gone all metric and international on us, but please. They still weight themselves in stones and the Veyron still goes 250mph as far as they're concerned.

@900pilot: I live that the internet in its limitless wisdom has made a meme and/or demotivational for every possible occurrence in the matrix.
