Curious as to how his views may have evolved on the issue of Oligarhs.

Did anyone say that either was morally wrong? It turns out that no one did. Either way, there’s a simple test for your theory. Do two things:

Well, I mean, the problem with “not all men” isn’t that it’s untrue, it’s that it can get annoying when a bunch of guys pop into every conversation to defend themselves instead of talking about what to do about the guys who ARE a problem. It’s not “all men are bad” but “yes, thanks, we KNOW #notallmen and that’s not

‘Don’t claim that all men talk like sexual predators if you’re trying to prove they aren’t.’

FUCKING YES.

I get so annoyed with this ‘all men talk like that. I just think ‘do not normalise this bullshit. I just think ‘do not drag me down with you, you pricks.’

I’ll admit that I don’t want to be lumped in with awful men

The idiot(s) who authored this is/are probably wishing for death right now.

Yes, and having it only happen one time wouldn’t give them the full lifetime experience of this crap as it happens to a greater and lesser degree.

And then the same guys who defend “locker room talk” get mad at feminists for being paranoid about rape and sexual assault, and acting like all men are criminals. Seriously, you’re going to tell us that ALL men talk like that, but then pull out #notallmen when we talk about sexual assault? Don’t claim that all men

I fucking hate Harvard, but I am beginning to think that’s because they mostly promote their male professors, male superstar students, and rarely (like exception being Cheryl Sandberg) their obviously incredibly smart and talented female superstars. Fuck you Harvard, but serious props to these women.

What makes me sad is that when I was in incoming freshman, I would have been happy to know upperclassman boys found me attractive. On the flip side, if I was ranked poorly, it would have really fucked me up and started my college experience on a very bad note.

It wouldn’t be the same, though, because they don’t live in a world that treats them like that more broadly. If the women did this to the guys it would still be a bad thing to do, but there’s no way to make it the *same* thing. That’s sort of why the whole thing is so awful in the first place.

I’ve kicked multiple men off the teams I’ve coached for comments about the women on the team. Unfortunately, that’s just the ones dumb enough to say it in front of their coach.

Agreed. It is so sad when something that feels humiliating also feels normal.

Thanks for the link, I read the whole piece on the Crimson site - these women are amazing.

We are appalled that female athletes who are told to feel empowered and proud of their abilities are so regularly reduced to a physical appearance.

All of the women are better people than the men are, and likely ever will be. This frequently seems true in general.

Can we not call two people raping another person a theesome? Jesus.

Taylor is a former pro hockey player and currently works at a financial firm.

Exactly. Unfortunately, so many domestic abuse victims have to seek underground assistance to get away because the authorities/powers that be/etc. just don’t care.

So unbearably fucked up. And if there wasn’t a support system in place that ensured the woman had a safe place to go when he was released, makes the court even more culpable in my mind.

Of course not. He is her delicate baby boy.
