That's the truth for all of the manufacturers that build cars in China, which is to say almost all of them. GM, VAG, PSA and lots of other companies would have to do the same. Unlike the times when Ford was in charge, Volvo actually develop and build almost everything in Sweden now.

The Chinese owners has treated Volvo better than Ford ever did... The Chinese business practices may be horrible, but that really hasn't shown in Volvo's case. Geely just lets Volvo be Volvo.
