Supposedly, the source of the Melbourne Monolith was a typo in OpenStreetMap that indicated the building had 212 stories, rather than... 2. It was later corrected, but apparently the developers had already taken the data in before that correction occurred.
A lotof Vancouver is great
They use Bing Maps, actually, because Microsoft.
As far as I know the data isn't taken from Google maps. It's taken from bing's mapping data, because it's a Microsoft backed project, so unless bing's street view of your city had that same visual glitch it would not affect the rendering of your city.
The developers are based in France. I’m just sayin’…
Open your eyes people! The rendering algorithm has just pulled the veil off our eyes and shattered the grand illusion. The Illuminati’s place of power is a 600 story building that’s big enough for planes to land on and Buckingham Palace is an old apartment building, always has been.
I played Ori and the Blind Forest and the Outer Wilds on game pass, both excellent games. I also played Outer Worlds on game pass, which I thought was average but a lot of people really like.
This reminds me of Persona 5 being on Psnow for 3 months. No way i can get through a game of that size in that short amount of time.
Reading the article.. “Nice One Good Round”
Yeah. Normally I wouldn’t jump on something like this, but since it’s on Game Pass it’s a no-brainer. Pretty excited to dive in.
I’m glad this is also coming to Xbox. When I first saw it shown off it made a good first impression and actually made me interested in it. Knowing it’ll be on game pass for Xbox One and Series X has gotten me more excited to give it a try.
If you want to sell your apps on the Windows Store, Microsoft absolutely takes a cut and has restrictions on things like payment methods.
Yeah, pretty much all of the legal scholarship on the topic I’ve read has pretty clearly come down on the side of “it’s totally within Apple’s rights to do this, and isn’t anti-competitive (in the legal sense) at all.”
It’s easy to hate on Apple’s walled garden but I honestly don’t see any problem with this
Nintendo is also a primary gaming company that makes consoles. No one else does that anymore. They don’t have to compete the same way as Sony or Microsoft. Nor do the other companies have any brand as famous as Nintendo.
I would do unspeakable things for a new Viva Pinata
Yeah, it is interesting- although, at the end of the day, the biggest source of revenue for console platform creators has usually been game sales. So, I guess Microsoft decided, if consoles (particularly new ones) aren’t all that profitable by themselves (and possibly lose money), why not just make it as easy as…
VIva pinata was, similar’ish... ???
This just makes me wish Microsoft released an “Animal Crossing” like game, except with the Microsoft avatars.
