I assume they have to claim and justify direct competition in order to trigger some sort of non-compete type clause in the contract — probably to add some sort of buff to their punies.

But...there is an entire story line with an end goal that culminates at the center of the universe...
The lies were spectacular, but at this point it's just humorous.
It’s a recession.
The $500 price point for the ‘full fat’ experience is a good idea, something something early adopters, everything looks...good? I mean, it’ll be awhile until devs do.... I’m sorry. I want to say nice things but it just feels like treading old ground anymore. Demon’s souls was both...graphically lifelike and…
Because of Fortnite and a Microsoft streaming game app?
Apple is looking out for Apple with these rules. The streaming apps directly compete with Apple Arcade. They dont want to allow competition on their platform. So they would rather make rules to make it impossible for competition to exist. If you want a curated list of games, Apple Arcade is your only choice on iOS.…
That’s the correct response brah. I have an iPhone because I like it far far better than Android devices.
That didn’t work out like that for MS, Windows, and IE.
Cool with me. I’ll stick to Android.
This is my biggest issue with their stance on cloud gaming. Game Pass and Stadia are EXACTLY like netflix and spotify just with games. It’s simply a way for them to push their Apple TV gaming ecosystem and forcing other companies to bow out. Leaving Apple with all of the profits. I really don’t understand how…
Not sure why you bothered mentioning Final Fantasy XIV in this article if you were just going to ignore that it had a major patch two weeks ago with the story conclusion to its most popular expansion ever.
Truthfully, it’s -very- uncommon for next-gen consoles to have titles that really -sell- the hardware and make clear that it’s worth upgrading at the start.
This is a day one purchase for me if it retroactively makes existing Switch ports like MK11 and the Witcher 3 run better. That’s possible, right?
I have both xbox and ps5 and my Switch is never off, it’s always on and being played by the kids, my wife, me, friends at parties (pre covid) a 4k Switch would be amazing and “SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY”
Yeah I’ve mainly used Game Pass to try stuff, play games I wouldn’t normally play, or first party titles. Otherwise, if it’s a game I like and want to finish, I buy it
for the $5 bucks or whatever it is I don’t care about games coming and going. My steam library is full of games purchased that are never finished or never started. Gamepass gives me an opportunity to try games I would never have paid for and helps me enjoy a game more on its own merits. I got and beat Carrion rather…
I agree on the expiration dates, but wdould we call it a weak point? That’s licensing in general. Outside of first party titles, I’d imagine everything has an end date. Saying “Licensed to Game Pass through 01/23/2021" somewhere in the GamePass page that allows you to install wouldn’t be a bad thing. Sure, it wouldn’t…
You can always buy it if it’s something you really want. I’ve pretty much played 1st party titles which aren’t ever leaving the service and indie games that I can finish in a weekend. Others are just nice to dabble in and see if I find something I like that I otherwise wouldn’t have bought.
You can always buy it, no?
I mean, if a series leaves netflix, then that’s it. You may not be able to watch it, legally. But if a game is leaving Game Pass and you want to play it, you can buy it (as a subscriber, you even have a discount). If you can’t get yourself to play it, or buy it, then, it’s pretty clear that…
