Unless you’re a stealth anarcho-libertarian who thinks taxes are “theft” and the like, this isn’t punishment. Just like social security taxes and car insurance aren’t punishments.

Not necessary in the short term, but over the long term, yes, an amendment is in order.

You got it right.

I’d prefer the gov’t take 99% of guns and melt them down into statues memorializing mass shootings.

how bout them Cleveland Kevelliers

Totally fair, and same here

was right there with you until the last sentence. no one has to agree with that take, but it wasn’t a hit piece in the sense that it was unfair/unethical/etc

“No one is suggesting that the fan was not in the wrong or that this guy has a criminal complaint for assault or that any civil claim would lead to a damage award.”

me and my best buddy both work desk jobs (read email, write email, 40 hours a week, full of “ping” and “touch base”) and when one of us down, the other will lighten the mood by dropping “where is your base so that I may touch it?” into the gchat. sounds. so. dirty.

everything is terrible

Now playing

I’m a big dumb Michigan homer (although I am not a Pats fan) and there are few happy memories over the past... decade but that tipped ball made me rererererewacth this gem

Here I am, saying that the world of handwriting analysis is not cut and dry. This is not breathtakingly nuanced position.

You’re just digging deeper on this bullshit 1987 study. Admit that you did some quick googling and didn’t bother to look and see if what you were looking to was actually legit or not and are trying to pretend that’s not the case.

Good god this is painful. Let me spoon-feed it to you...

lol, you not only cherrypick a 2007 study that cherrypicks a study from 1987, but you don’t have the nerve to include how thin that 1987 study is.

You’re confusing “graphology” (which is diving personality traits from handwriting and is... fuzzy with its science) and “questioned document examination,” which is very much a legit part of forensic science.

The attack itself? Of course she wasn’t involved. It was caught on video. The planning of the attack? Absolutely she was involved, particularly in the tracking of Kerrigan’s schedule, and then tried to cover it up.

welp, what can I say, you’ve picked quite the hill to die on. I’m sure it’s the same one you’ve staked out for Ray Lewis, OJ Simpson, and the Menendez Brothers.

ah yes, so hand-written notes on Kerrigan’s practice schedules, written in Harding’s hand-writing, were just a mere coincidence. got it.
