Look, I’m not a Taylor Swift fan, but I am a fan of women standing up to their abusers and not backing down. There are lots and lots of problematic things about Swift, and she deserves to be criticized for those things, but this situation is not one of them. This man and his lawyer came at her and tried to make her at

Yes, I could have sworn I read somewhere that Kushner was going to be questioned in the investigation soon, and then suddenly he’s off to the Middle East for peace talks while 45 is trying to start a war with NK and Venezuela.

I’d rather be forced to take an extra vacation day than be forced to spend a shitload of extra money on flights for holiday weekend weddings. We have one this coming Labor day Sunday for which we had to shell out exorbitant cash because all the flights were so ridiculous.

To be clearer: The wedding couple can assign tables rather than seats. Then everyone, couple or single, can take any seat at their assigned table.

Truth. And a food truck wedding sounds like a blast...

3% guilt guests seems quite reasonable. 20% would not.

I don’t know. I can see your point. But taking away a holiday where people can lounge around at a nice BBQ or a day at the beach, or hell just going to the movies in the middle of the afternoon, and replacing it with a travel day still seems like an incredible pain in the ass. One year I lost Memorial Day weekend

Me, when I realized my straight-out-of-Footloose cousin’s intended was Catholic and her family was running the wedding show: “Thank God. At least there will be booze and dancing.”

You definitely DO want a registry. People will get you gifts. If you don’t have a registry, they’ll get you what they think you’ll like, which will be stuff you don’t want, from stores where you don’t even want credit. Get a registry at a store where you shop anyway, and you can return everything (if you so desire)

Another thing is the endless speeches. I went to one where I think there were seven speeches (bride, groom, best man and woman, priest, fathers of the couple). It was horrible watching these people bogart the mike and try to outdo the last speech.

You may have already done this, but maybe check out some venues that you wouldn’t normally associate with a wedding.

At the very least the ceremony so that your guests can actually see the wedding!

I’m going to partially disagree with you on the photographer and suggest you get a professional for the ceremony at the very least, and have them take some portraits of the bride and groom both before and after the ceremony, plus the wedding party. Check out their portfolios, get references and take some time finding

You are projecting a lot on a very neutral and straight-forward headline, friend.

I think sanctuary cities should counteroffer with a refusal to pay any taxes...starting with the ones that fund this ham monster of a Congressman’s salary. Let’s see how the Trunp-loving rural areas of Georgia do when the cities start keeping funds to themselves (and I say this as someone who lives in farm country).

I treasure my dark Chanel lipsticks because they keep discontinuing them and I’m far too old fashioned to start buying other brands.

I like something like this because you can put coins and cash in the zippered area and have room in the slots for ID, credit card, transit card. It fits in even a tiny clutch or a pocket.

Is Bentley a thing where you live? I have a men’s RIFD wallet from there.

I am also fussy about wallet size, and prefer a brightly colored one because black ones disappear into my black-lined purse. I only ever have luck at the surplus-type stores: T.J. Maxx, Burlington, Ross, etc.
