Gotta keep them clicks coming somehow!

It’s not like Indiana and Illinois have been covering the conference in football glory recently, either.

Sounds like I’ve got an idea for a new TV series - “The Danks of Hazzard”

This is neither the time nor the website for your “facts” and “logic”.

Anyone who dislikes Phil Kessel is not a hockey fan. The Penguins are literally my most hated sports franchise and he’s only the 3rd Penguin ever that I will say anything nice about (after Ronny Francis, who’s really a Whaler anyway, and Kjell Samuelsson, because you gotta be nice to somebody whose name starts with

Spoken like somebody who’s never had a ???? Snorlax break out of 11 ultra balls, then run away :(

Yeah, this is why I think we won’t see the “Young Guns” team again (or if we do, it’ll just be a junior Canada team). Canada can still roll out a team to easily win the tournament without McDavid, Ekblad, etc.

Only a world fucking champion makes that kind of play.

Please do fire any white men with mullets if you have the ability.

I’m pretty sure it’d be exactly the same. My last company before this one required all men to have haircuts above their collar and no beards whatsoever (mustaches were okay, because apparently we had to be able to star in a 70's porn if necessary).

Looks like 12 Americans, 11 Canadians, 0 Rest-of-North-Americans

Yeah, definitely. Tkachuk, Guerin, Richter, LeClair, Weight and Suter, at least, are all Hall of Very Good - nobody on that team was “just” an agitator. Probably Schneider and Amonte too. I doubt we’ll see that kind of talent stacked on any non-Canada team for a long time again.

Yes, Canada should be favored. But the US shouldn’t be handicapping itself with the wrong players, wrong coach and wrong goalie at the same time.

Did you continue onward to Paradise?

It’s more a legacy of the 1996 World Cup winning team. That team is considered gritty as it had some legitimate agitators (Keith Tkachuk, Bill Guerin) but ignores the fact it also had five Hall of Famers and a bunch more Hall of Very Good players - it was exactly what the article above points out, that grit is how you

They were one post away from doing it. DING!

Murray had the dream run last year but I feel like most people would say Gibson should’ve been the starter. McLellan has never impressed me as a coach.

I do, but apparently you’ve forgotten about the entire Christmas that was dedicating to finding a Bobby Hoying jersey!

I have to think the Royals are the favorites until somebody puts a stake in their heart... and then another stake in that stake :)

Perot’s two big issues were anti-free trade (which went against both parties at the time, and still did up until Trump) and reigning in government spending to prevent budget deficits, which went from something winked and nodded at under Reagan to absolute canon under Gingrich’s Republicans. It’s possible that Perot
