You’re the only person who can guarantee it for sure, but it wouldn’t hurt the rest of us to be a little less dickish to you, too :)

I’m reasonably far down now, but weirdly enough, this might be the single best discussion thread I’ve ever seen on Jez. 99% civil, informative, and I think I’ve actually modified my point of view based on it.

I think the fact that both happen is what’s scary to people on both sides of this discussion.

In an idealistic world, you’re 100% correct! Unfortunately as seen in other comments, the way many people want to use them these days goes far beyond the original purpose.

There’s a difference between protest and suppression - admittedly a fine line, and colleges have erred on both sides of it before.

Even Sidney Crosby is in awe of this one.

It’s gonna be tough for those guys this year, but at least their Blue Devils and Crimson Tide are looking solid!

There’s only so many resources to go around, at least now we know what they were using them for.

There has to be a scapegoat if she loses, or even doesn’t win big. It can’t be because she’s corrupt or because she’s in bed with the MSM.

Excellently balanced article, Anna! It’s easy to fall into the trap of wanting vengeance, but the ability of our judicial system to remain independent of public passions is one of the bedrocks of it working at all. Otherwise you’re a step away from lynch mobs.
