Thankfully (for those of us who like a real election rather than an automatic pick), the Republican nomination process makes it basically impossible for Trump to win even if he’s polling highest. 538 did a story about it a couple weeks back.

McCain had a lot more experience in government, and before his right-turn in the primaries was generally considered a moderate and consensus-builder. Obama didn’t have that kind of experience. I don’t know that McCain would’ve made a better President (and I voted for the promise of Obama), but at the time he seemed

It matters for electability, whether or not it matters for competence.

Check out Edwin Moses (1977-1987). 122 consecutive wins in the 400m hurdles.

Every time I watched Russell last year, I thought “Yeah, we tried the Evan Turner thing already.”

Opposing abortion in all cases (other than to save a mother’s life) is the only non-hypocritical way to be anti-abortion. If you’re willing to allow abortion of a child resulting from rape or incest, then obviously the child’s life ISN’T the reason you’re anti-abortion in other cases.

A lot of the backlash on this subject comes from people demanding he be punished before being convicted (or even charged). It sets off fundamental feelings of unfairness, and the world’s already unfair enough.

Not sure I’ve ever seen an article on here approached from such a wrong direction. Everything IMPORTANT is either at the bottom of the article or in the comments.

Yeah, my takeaway here is that Chris vastly overrated Joe Buck even as he was rightfully yelling at him.

Howard Stern did it first!

Terrible day, hopefully the good writers will end up at better sites.

Interesting that they’re all so close, although Hunter could be over- or underrated due to the variables still involved in defense (clearly a more important skill to him than Bernie, or especially “Looks like Jesus, acts like Judas, throws like Mary” Damon.)

Agreed, that is a piss-poor headline - it puts the onus on Upshaw as the agent of the split, rather than the Buich Klan.

Really? That makes me sad :(

I like the history of sports, so they’re all important to me, but I’m glad to see the logical consistency in your position. Also, it hurts the Yankees, Celtics and Canadiens more than anybody, and screw those teams.
