No it’s just you. I agree that their MSRP was fine. People are paying the high prices because you can’t get one otherwise right now. Wait til the two years is up and we’ll see the true market value of the car.
It left a really sour taste in Ford’s mouth too.
Or just sell more of them.
It’s like a chain re-auction.
I’d give it a home, I just couldn’t afford the alimony payments
Look, if a professional wrestler wants to flip something, just be glad it didn’t land on its head. That goes for 24-month-old cars and babies, too.
unless you wear your lingerie on the outside? Then it’s special...and weird!
Not if everybody else can see it.
That’s what I would do, but even it’s a Singer, it still looks like a Porsche. I get the sense that Kevin wants something that is a little more distinctive. Buying a Singer is probably like wearing lingerie; only you know how special you feel.
Buy a Singer...
“Hey Honey, I bet I can smuggle 200lbs of uncut cocaine into the USA”
a real jalop would buy an entire stable’s worth of crap-mobiles
Kevin won a bet with his wife, and while the details of the wager are a mystery, the important part is that he is…
One of the best parts about working at Jalopnik is being surrounded by incredible, talented writers who are completely wrong about most things. Since I wasn’t able to be the voice of reason in the body of the post, I’m commenting.
@Elhigh: Totally off topic, but that reminds me of when I was in Glacier National Park 10 or 12 years ago. We were with a group of people observing a grizzly bear maybe 200 yards away. A ranger came over and said, "That bear can cover that distance in 15 seconds flat. Your cars are a 10 minute hike away. In 1987…
@Elhigh: Then: "How fast can we make it go?"
There are many things that don't look like they should be fast, but are. And you don't realize just how fast, until it's entirely too late, and you've been caught, eaten, and crapped out again.
Why are you so sure about that? The red pig was a stripped-out, race-prep version of the W108. If you do the same to the S63 AMG today, it would be just a powerful racer as its great-great-great-grandad was. And if you race it against small coupés, like the Capri was, you might trump them. Just as the old one did.
Mmmnnnn.......Red Pig
