The Kids Aren’t Alright by The Offspring sounds a lot like Electricity by OMD, I always thought.

I’d never heard of this game til Yahtzee Croshaw reviewed it this week. He didn’t declare it the worst thing since the black death so I can only assume he thought it was pretty good.
Inspector Spacetime and the, I can’t remember, Imaginarium? really contributed to the drastic demise of Community. I can’t think of a singe Spacetime bit that didn’t make my teeth itch.
Aye, let’s see if Mackenzie Crook is a good luck charm for this sort of thing!
I had tickets to see these in Sheffield a few years ago. I don’t really like their music but I figures it would be good fun. Sadly they postponed, and then cancelled, the gig. I guess I won’t see them now!
Halo has been in development for about twenty years it seems at this point. Pablo Schreiber must have been attached for about five.
Ugh, Sheffield Wednesday fans are going to be even more insufferable than usual now that they’ve made the big time and been mentioned in an Apple+ show.
Sad news, a true action great.
Known in the UK as John Lewis-fication, because the shop John Lewis uses mawkish, slowed-down covers of pop songs in its sentimental Christmas TV adverts.
Reece Shearsmith, nice!
Indeed, the stories lend themselves much better to fun screen adaptations than Foundation (which I also very much enjoy).
I have the first two trades of Robinson’s Starman run, the omnibus editions, but the volumes 3 onwards all sell for £250 plus so I’ve not been able to read the rest.

Even in this crowded, talented field, Michael Shannon stands out
You might want to think that, I might want to think that, but deep down we all know he’s Boyd Crowder’s Raylan Givens.
I remember reading how they gave the film its distinctive palette - they put white powder on the faces of the actors, then changed the lighting etc. until the actors looked “flesh-coloured” again. This made the rest of the set look off, naturally.
Ha, very good point! Perhaps ‘protagonists’ would be a more nuanced take, but even so it won’t always be indicative of the actor’s own politics.
Between 13 Hours and Jack Ryan I suspect John Krasinski leans at least a little to the right, but it doesn’t pay to confuse an actor and their roles I suppose.
Hey, being a Pinkerton isn’t all thuggery and Union-busting. Sometimes they go into floating sky-cities and murder racists.
Daffy Duck is my favourite fictional character full stop. The other animated character who is near the top of that list is the great Dale Gribble; got to love the deluded losers (see also Arnold Rimmer).
