That back story doesn't seem to be true for MCU Widow, in Winter Soldier we saw her birthdate was in the 80s.

Exactly that. It’s fine to not be a fan of something you’re cast in, but to brush it off like it’s meaningless is pretty shitty when you know there are thousands of fans that it does mean a lot to.

That and the comment about Star Trek (no I'm not a Trekkie or whatever) came off as kind of bitchy. You’re demoted to #4, Chris. Not even the nostalgia for your charm in Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement can save you when you start shading the other Chrises.

I don’t know. I’m interested to see what this ends up being, but I still wish they would let it breathe away from Harry Potter, the little musical cues instantly make you think it’s a HP movie, when it really isn’t.

“Sometimes it seems like the studios are all just playing a giant game of chicken.”

Especially since, IMO, Civil War comitted many of the same “deconstructionist” mistakes as BvS - focusing the movie entirely on hero vs hero battles, adding a superfluous and wasted villain with a plan that makes no sense, and having the heroes act like immature twat who’d rather punch than listen.

WB has a history of doing that. Jonah Hex failed? It’s cause people don’t want to see handsome actor being disfigured. The remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers (the one with Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig) failed? It’s cause people don’t want to see a female lead in action movie.

I got the exact same impression. I don’t like being called an idiot. Don’t blame complexity for your own incompetence Snyder.

That’s what always rubs me the wrong way the most. That failure to go, “maybe we really fucked up and just made a bad movie,” and instead put the brunt of the blame on the audience. Oh, we’re just a bunch of mouth breathing Cheeto scarfing morons, I guess.

INCOMING POSITIVE OPINION ALERT

“The main thing we learned [on Batman v Superman] is that people don’t like to see their heroes deconstructed,” said producer Deborah Snyder. “They like seeing them in all their glory… I think what’s really great is where we’re going is kind of what the audience is wanting. We just had to take the characters from

“A bad guy with flying monkeys,” deadpans Batman.

why they have to leave that leads to Sansa telling Cersei about Ned’s plans

Sansa couldn’t predict that Jon would run into the field of battle and his troops would have to run after him

Like last week, neither Sansa nor Jon are wrong here. However, it’s worth pointing out that Sansa is extra not wrong.

Yeah, this has gotten me on the Aidan Turner-as-Bond train, which I hated before because it would probably be the end of Poldark. And I need this in my life:

The main problem is that anything is that someone is going to be offended no matter what.

I’ve seen some speculation that Sharon Stone is playing Nikki, one of the members of the old Guardians of the Galaxy team (the one Yondu was on).

It never bugged me until ‘shippers started getting this strange sense of entitlement, and pushing it out onto the original properties.

I’d actually love it if he were essentially a wall hanging, like Han Solo in Jabba’s palace. T’Challa just has his frozen body sitting in his living room as an art piece, just daring anyone from the UN to say anything (should anyone from outside Wakanda ever visit, anyway).
