The best introduction to his music is Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers, and Bastards. I know a triple album seems like an odd place to start, but it really shows the breadth of his work from rock songs to ballads to weird genre experiments.

I agree with most of this, but Walk The Moon? Seriously, Shut Up and Dance was the sixth best song on that album, and it’s still better then anything else on the radio.
