It is an awesome lens for the price. It doesn't have VR as you don't really need it at such wide angles. The f/2.8 rocks as a bonus.

A quick formula to use if you want to avoid star streaks is to divide 600 by focal length. Ex. with a wide angle 11mm lense you'd use 600/11 = 54.5 sec of exposure.
