As obvious as the subhead is, it’s still just pitch perfect. And honestly, it is a cozy little skit.

As I understand, any country that wants to belong to the European Broadcasting Union can participate. However, there are countries that aren’t allowed to join. But there are enough non-European countries involved to call it “global” I think. It doesn’t have to be an all-encompassing term.

It looks to me all three (and more). For me, it brings to mind the “Carnivalisque” (see Mikhail Bakhtin), the often riotous overturning of establishment values.

Something that is really amusing to me is that while overall this was one of the weaker Eurovisions in recent years, it also produced an iconic Eurovision character and elevated another to a completely different sphere. Like Kääriäinen can be a visiting attraction in every Eurovision in years to come if he wants. And

Rudy catching a RICO case would be a very delicious irony.

Yeah, but of all the movies you mentioned, only Sonic is any good. I think the point is that video games are hard to adapt into movies and we’re probably going to see a tidal wave of them now, regardless of whether or not they fit the medium.

I’d settle for a regular toaster that’d evenly toast bread.
