So........ ten years away instead of fifteen?

Cuisine from eastern Europe (Poland, Germany) deserves more respect. That is all.

Let’s see. We’ve got a starving apex predator, and a duckling that is probably going to die anyway, as it has been abandoned by its mother before its learned how to take off from water or dive and swim beneath the surface.

We need to branch out to other prehistoric badasses. I’m partial to the Dunkleosteus, the Terror of the Devonian Seas.

I’m getting sick and tired of all these articles about how it’s better to work from home. And the smugness of people who say they love it.

Call it an “expert system”. Really good at one specific thing, but totally unable to work outside that specific thing.

A season with more “unconnected” episodes allows you to take risks and do something unusual as a one-off. People have mentioned “M*A*S*H” as one of those sorts of shows.... I remember (even after all these decades) two episodes - “The Interview”, where they got a former war correspondent to interview the cast as if it

There are quite a few notables that, because they aren’t the usual “Hollywood” types, get left off these lists - despite being worthy of at least a tip of the cap in a final farewell:

Why is it that the best Christmas ads come from outside the US? Perhaps it’s because they don’t have to force things into a one-minute time slot.

Don’t give them any ideas.

I feel I’m not alone when I ask....

It was nice seeing Mel (Bonnie Langford) again! And I just wanted someone to comment on Ncuti’s lack of pants.

Here’s a playlist I put together a few years ago for those who are tired of the same old holiday tunes:

If you have the original 45 rpm single of “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree”, flip it over for another gem:

As far as I’m concerned, it isn’t Christmas until Nick & Nora Charles serve the nuts.

Yeah, it came out of nowhere. I have the feeling that the original story would have had scenes or bits of dialogue that would have elaborated or otherwise built this up, but they needed to be cut to get into the allotted run time. Much of the plot felt rushed.

Just like the characters from the cartoon made an appearance!

This reminds me; Turkey Weekend is when I do my biannual maintenance and backup. I hope that it cleans things out and speeds things up; it takes almost five minutes before I can do anything with my Windows 10 machine. And a few more minutes before I can get anywhere with Firefox....

Here’s an idea. How about a TV series about life for *ordinary people* in the MCU? No superheroes at all on screen - just regular people dealing with the consequences and fallout. Maybe there’s a church talking about sending missionaries to convert the aliens. Schools having to revise their curricula to include all

In a nice poster version:
