I can suggest small-group walking tours. Not the standard sightseeing ones, but the ones like a “Haunted City” tour that give you the seedier side of the place’s history, or a “food tasting” tour. Those are really unlikely to be organized with either couples or large groups in mind, so you’re not going to feel weird.

Or you wind up being stuck at the tiny table under the AC vent, next to the emergency exit...even when there’s plenty of room in the place.

French Vanilla - Whatever happened to it? You can get F.V. flavored coffee everywhere these days; why not the ice cream?
