Interesting take! When I read the original novel, my takeaway was that the question of “Is the real world so f*d up BECAUSE people have abandoned it for OASIS, and stopped trying to deal with it?” was utterly ignored.

What does it say about an episode when the best parts are the guest animated “couch gag” and the intro scene unrelated to anything else in the episode?
