For we gamers of a Certain Age (tm), I think nothing beats King Dodongo in Ocarina of Time. Back when 3D was still in its infancy, you jump down into this deep chasm and turn around uneasily, as the perspective swerves to this beast’s POV and Link suddenly just looks tiny. Then it comes back to Link and this giant mons

...so he deserved to die for it?

It’s as if there is a large gaming population around the world that doesn’t care about powerful hardware and super high-definition graphics.

“Upon further review, we have found that the current Switch hardware STILL PRINTS MONEY” *airhorns*

This article sure came out at a serendipitous time for me. My wife and I’s little (dog) lady left us a month ago due to sudden and unexplained health complications, just before my birthday, and we’ve been hurting ever since. Our dog loved all the humans in her life, but she and I shared a special bond. She died way

I hatched an Alolan Meowth withnperfect IVs the day the family cat had to be put down.  It seemed like the obvious choice to name after him.

I’ve done this, not with Pokemon but with World of Warcraft. Since the game launched I played the same Beast Master Hunter, which is a pet based class that lets you “tame” any beast type enemy in the game to be your permanent DPS pet. You can have a number of them in your stable.

Really pissed off the AI bros with this one. The impotent ad hominems are out in force. :O

bots are now scraping content creqted by other bots, creating inbred, enecephalatic models that can in no way match even the laziest of efforts of an eighth grader penning a fanfiction. there are real, physical limits that the ever increasing weight of the models are running up against, weight that will only ever get

I’ve never met an author who considers writing dialogue to be tedium, and I don’t see treating the act of high level storytelling to be fundamentally different from the word-by-word decision making to be likely to result in anything but drivel.

Which hits at one of my major concerns about AI: that CEOs, given the

Maam this is a video game website

I mean, the real sin for TF2 was releasing the game directly between 2 huge blockbuster FPS releases, and then going “OMG, no one buys this crap”. One of said releases was EA’s own damn game, Battlefield, and the other being CoD. If they’d delayed the release until say...December, it probably would have done much

Agreed. I think it’s actually the perfect length, wrapping up while it was still special and not overstaying its welcome. In general, as my work load gets heavier and my spare time shortens, I definitely don’t mind 8/10-ish hour games, and like you said, the short length means I'm more apt to spend a weekend on a

My dude it’s regularly ~$3 on PC. I don’t know your financial situation but my guess is if you’re able to afford a gaming PC you can probably afford a $3 copy of a game.

I say this with zero animosity. I'm not being condescending or belittling, even though it will absolutely sound like it: your loss.

It is available on Windows if you need your mouse and board , and people are definitely not kidding about its campaign. I’m not even a FPS fan and was absolutely floored by the cool stuff in the single-player mode.

Yeah, I was a high school kid when those movies came out and I remember watching that first movie and all of my friends just going, “Wow, that was inexplicably racist and it just kept STAYING racist.”
