But the rest of the sentence about how no black people worked on the game makes it rather logical. There were some iffy statements from Square when showing the game, too. Having a black protagonist doesn’t absolve you from all criticism.

I’d really like to, um, own one without paying for some insane bundle. Doesn’t look like we can expect that quite yet though, huh?

I thought the gacha aspect to get the blades was a tremendous waste of time. I like that game, but there’s a lot of stuff that feels like padding for no reason.

Dang, I want. ~$450 though. Man. Put it down with the earthbound bomber jacket for when I get rich.

After Xenoblade Chronicles 2, any gatcha stuff in a $60 Nintendo game sets off alarm bells for me. Hopefully whatever that is it’s minor. Looks good otherwise.

One thing I think is a little annoying about the internet is taking stuff super literally to make a correction. Collectively we should let people do a little joke hyperbole.

Don’t most Metroid games get optimized to the point where there is one used route through the world? At which point the speedrun is about how fast you can mash the controller / make the correct inputs.

Feels a little weird, I suppose. Mashing is definitely a skill. The whole thing is pressing buttons.

This is objectively hilarious

I hate balancing whole games for the pros. Even as a guy who plays competitive in a couple games. You’re a tiny minority. Unless it’s making your experience unplayable, things can be a little unbalanced.

Attack on Titan’s last half season was pretty rough and its politics are trash. I’ve come this far though... so...

I want the resources used on making boring stuff to do for 400 hours focused on interesting stuff to do for 40

What if you got 20 hours of good stuff instead of 300 hours of repeated tasks

AAA devs please stop

Media can cross a line of civil obedience without advocating that it is good. Ready or Not proposes that this police state is good. GTA (while clumsy) obviously does not propose that murder or stealing cars, etc. is good. Pretending they are the same is willfully obtuse.

Finally, a Pokémon game where I can get what I deserve

I explicitly do not think that, but it was not relevant to my comment

Makes a lot of sense considering the kind of people that pushed up its stock. GameStop has actually been weirdly hesitant to appease the meme stock folks (just look at AMC). This definitely sucks tho.

Ethan Gach writes about video games for a living. This is actually the perfect place for him to channel some energy.

Motivating somebody to commit an act of literal violence is a much higher bar than motivating somebody to root for a republican politician.
